An obnoxious, self-centered view on what-a-bitch life can be.....

3.12.2004

ANother crazy, hectic day... I'm kinda wondering what happened, reminiscing the good ole days... where i would be in-front of the "pooter" all day, mastering the art of "eat snake". Time for update peeps, the final 20 for Miss Universe SIngapore have been chosen, Mae got thru!!! *hiphip- hooray* All the best in the finals, will post more updates, pics etc when the time draws closer.

My turn to work this weekend, life's a bitch.... it so happens that the busiest weekend is my weekend, the roster is rigged *grumble*.

Watched the finale of "Average Joe" last night. It came down to two guys, one a gorgeous hunk with pretty boy looks (think Micheal Owen) who lives with his parent, the other a succesful Wall street trader with average looks and great personality (the "Average Joe"). To my surprise, the average Joe walked away the loser, coming second to a man 1 year his junior, still in college, with no significant achievements to his merit 'cept of course his looks. My question is, does looks always matter? Can we look beyond the superficial and love someone for who they are inside? We have all questioned ourselves before, pondered, maybe even considered the possibility of embarking on a relationship with someone who may be challenged in the looks department. I reckon its all in the nose *winkz*...

About to head off home, when Gwen provides Lem with another classic mo'

Lem say: So much for one night?
Gwendolyn says: k lah boss, give you discount... one night $30
Gwendolyn says: the last sentence...made me sound like a pros

Night peeps.

Real busy day @ work, but satisfying to say the least. Was expressing my reservations about staying with someone, potential problems that might arise and Gwen had to say:

"its not because of the nose thats stopping u isit?"

CLASSIC!

Times like these I wish I could go over there and give ya a big *MUACK* on the cheek... keep it up girlfriend!!

Okie peeps, official results of the poll are out 67% of the general population feel that Lid is NOT coming back anytime soon, while a hopeful 33% reckon she's coming back in May... *sheesh*.....

I have this really bad throat infection, I sound and feel horrible, though someone did comment that my voice was sexy this way :)

I have been inundated with requests for updates on the Miss Universe Singapore competition, or as my ever-so eloquent friend puts it, "eh, I waiting for your updates on Bimbo watch leh". Sources at mediacorp tell me that 6 girls have been eliminated and another 10 will get the boot on Thursday, the semi-finals day. The remaining 20 girls will be the lucky finalists who will travel to Bali for photoshoots and generally prepping for the grand finals sometime in early April. All the best Mae *muack*, I'm sure you'll get through....

At the mo' I'm filled with mixed feelings of euphoria and fear, at the prospect of a new housemate, come May/June. I'm a creature of habit, and any disruptions in my routine can lead to mood swings, stress-induced eczema, disappearing acts.. you get the picture. What makes this situation interisting is the potential new housemate.... I've known her for awhile, honestly, feels like a lifetime. Theres nothing to hide between us, though theres no stopping either one of us trying. Its a complex relationship, symbiotic by definition yet parasitic in nature. Can good friends be housemates?

The million dollar question. Maybe that line shouldn't be crossed, and housemates should remain housemates, while best friends remain best friends. I guess it blurs the boundaries, how tolerant are we meant to be towards our housemate/best friend.. is it a level between that of house mate and best friend? Too many scenarios, too many possibilities.... time for a poll :)
