GRENADE

Arrgghhh! I was in the city before, and decided to pay a visit to my fav snowboard shop while I was in the area.. what a mistake! Everytime I'm in there I end up buying something, dunno if its the awesome selection of cool stuff or the super friendly staff (or maybe the really really hot brunette working there); today was no exception. Walked away with a new pair of Snowboarding gloves (yes, another pair!) by Grenade. They are really comfy and are somewhat like pipe gloves in that they give heaps of flexibility in the fingers, but are overall thicker than your standard half-pipe gloves (for added warmth). They'vealso got some pretty funky graphics on 'em, which have slowly grown on me.

I'm all ready and pumped for my Japan trip, can't wait, one more week!

note: that hot brunette, probably the hottest ang-moh brunette I've ever seen in Melbourne, but still a distant second to my Maine :)

Australian Open

For the first time ever, I made my way down to the Australian Open today, and what a day to go. We've been having really shitty stinking hot weather recently, so much so that they had to cancel play yesterday at the open due to the heat. Thankfully, a cold change came in 'bout midday and made my Aussie Open experience that much better.

Sneaked away with a colleague at about 10ish from work to Melbourne park and joined the long queue of eager tennis fans, all wanting to catch Federer in action. We got the ground passes which gave us access to all the smaller courts including Margaret Court arena. We basically went from court to court, leaving a match when it got boring and moving on to the next best thing.

I managed to catch the Ferrero match, Johannson match, Wayne Arthurs match and the first set of the Hrbaty match before we both got bored and decided to call it a day. Highlight of the day would probably have to be sitting with the Swedish army of fans- wigs and all. The Swedes are a fun bunch, with some weird arse chants.... "Com-eon-Tooo-Mas!!"

Definitely glad I went, now at least I can say I've been there! And I couldn't believe there were so many good-looking tennis fans; I might have to make this an annual ritual. *grin*

I'm back.

Woah... its a new year already, how fast was 2006??? I know its been ages since i've last blogged but I'm back in full swing!

Just got back from Singapore a couple of days ago, what a trip! By far the most memorable holiday back home ever. Other than the crappy weather (raining for 3 consecutive days), I made peace with loved ones, met up with old friends, made new friends and took a gi-normous (its my blog and i can spell how i want to) leap of faith.

My folks are my rock and constant source of support. Hanging out with them everyday has made me realise how fortunate I am to have such cool parents.

I'm also glad to have met up with some of my bestest friends, some of which I've known for over ten years! After all this while, you know who are the ones you can always count on.

And lastly, Maine, my best friend, confidante and someone I could always count on. I thank God for bringing her into my life, and snapping me out of my self obsessed world. It's nice to have someone to share your life with. I never thought I would be one of those "lucky ones".

Now I'm ready to face the world, bring it on!
