An obnoxious, self-centered view on what-a-bitch life can be.....

9.14.2006

34 minutes to friday.

Once again, its that time of the night, I've got a major mental block, can't think of what else to write. Trying to finish off my research proposal, which I thought would be a breeze considering its only 2 pages.

I think I've got a pretty nifty research question: How does the adoption of IFRS affect user's interpretation of the profit figure? (with respects to recognising unrealised gains in investment property.. of course)

I am so drained at the moment, this week has really been a killer. I am seriously deprived of sleep, been losing my appetite in the evenings (which I guess is a good thing) and to top things off, theres this nagging, somewhat "sharp" pain near my right rib cage.

Will be going to Citylife tomorrow evening to see the Hillsong United performance/gig. Insider info tells me the place will be packed with hoardes of adoring young female fans of Joel Houston. I asked if there would be wild screaming involved...

"No lah, this is not secular event leh, I don't think will lah"

We'll see...

"And wear the Hillsong United T-shirt ah!"

Thank God I don't have one. I love valid excuses.

Blogging is a healthy distraction

I should be studying now, or rather producing my first draft for Accounting Theory essay... So far I've come up with a title (sort of); " New IFRS guidelines for remuneration disclosure: directors or Key management Personnel?" *lame*

Back to the drawing board I guess.

After tonight's class, came back and dragged Addy for a run with me round Princess Park. Ms Thyroid was huffin n puffin like I've never seen before; quite a sight to behold. I of course, played the role of drill sergeant ( or as they say in the SAF- " saaaargent").

"Come on... concentrate on your breathing, keep up with pace"
"I can't .. I can't.."
"DON'T STOP!!!! YOU CAN'T STOP!!!!"
"*huffin n puffin*"

Ahhh... those sweet memories of torturing my men during army days came back to me. I must say, she did pretty well considering her current fitness level (notice I never used the "F" word)

Got my new Giro Nine.9 helmet last saturday... so so sweet. Now I'm considering if I should get the headphone/earpiece to go with it. Never really fancied riding with music, not that I've tried it, but I can imagine. One disadvantage is you can't hear any impending dangers around you, like crazy skiers or snowboarders without brakes (these are the ones that make their way down the hill screaming "aaaaaarrrhhhhhhhhhhhh").

Right now, my shopping/ wish list is as follows:

1) LIFA thermals (essential)
2) Anon figment goggles (decided to splurge)
3) Burton gloves-long cuff (still deciding, may not be Burton)
4) Helly Hansen Convergent jacket (still deciding)
5) Burton Ronin ALK Jacket (can't find it)
6) Burton White collection "God" jacket (can't freaking find it either)

I could go on forever if i went on to hardware.. but lets leave that for another day.

*looks at clock*

Time to get back to writing, me tired. Can't wait til its friday.
