Copacabana.

I am so tired now, and the assignment I "thought" was out of the way, is giving me headaches again. After a hard and long think, I'm thinking "how do i get the macros to work on different computers?" Seems like i need to key in a specific path, which will mean when I submit it online, the person marking it won't have a working version. AARGHHH!

I digress.

I decided to take a break last night, and headed down to Copacabana for some SALSA with Jules. Its been awhile and we were both looking forward to the night. Well at least I was, I think she was just afraid I'd step on her toes again. When we got there, we were both shocked to find that they weren't doing salsa, but the MERENGUE!

For those who haven't tried it, its alot faster than the salsa and involves less footwork. BUT, theres alot spinning, twirling and arm twisting. All good, 'cept when your partner is about half your height! I swear, we must have been the dorkiest couple out there. Imagine with me: one particular move, we are holding hands, I have to somehow go under her arm, end up behind her, twist my body in ways it has never been twisted before, come around to face her by going under her other arm and un-twist myself before untwisting her and counter twisting her. All this done with style, grace and the constant movement of the hips and feet. *phew*

We somehow managed to overcome the height difference; and in this I mean we managed to laugh it off and dismiss the stares. Despite the physical mismatch, I really enjoyed myself and definitely prefer the merengue to salsa. We even attended the intermediate class afterwards, and barely managed to follow all the steps. Words can't describe how sore and tired I was afterwards.

Light a candle.

Just got this off a friend's blog- light a candle in support of eradicating internet child pornography and abuse. Doesn't take long, costs nothing and to be honest, its kinda cool.

those damn birds start chirping at 4:30 am.

Finally, I managed to complete my technology assignment last night; another one down, three more to go! It came at a price though, been sleeping after 4am for the past two nights.

*yawns*

Though I'm not completely happy with the standard of work, I'm not too fussed, I only need a "pass" on this module to get my degree. I've since regretted doing this module... BIG TIME!

Had a really strange experience last night. As usual, went for my after-class-jog with Addy around Princes park. I noticed i was feeling considerably weaker last night, was getting tired easily and was struggling to jog at my usual pace. Normally during our jogs, Ms Thyroid will keep very quiet, trying to keep up with me. I, on the other hand, will be jogging a little in front of her whilst still singing, shouting, jumping, dancing, shoving (Addy of course) and sharing to her bout my day and who pissed me off/ who made me smile etc.

When I got home, I was already feeling abit faint-ish, was starting to see a couple of "stars"- no constellations yet, so I knew I might just get away with it if I quickly got some food in my system. I've only actually fainted once, and that was a bad, albeit funny experience (for on-lookers of course).

After bout an hour, all was good and I was feeling satisfied. Its amazing how versatile instant noodles are; about a million and one ways to prepare and cook 'em. Always does the trick, the ever reliable asian comfort food.

What did I learn from this experience? Running with Addy can be toxic. *wry grin*

I love my Visa card.

Today I had an extremely fulfiling day, I'm all shopped out, BEER(ed) out and completely exhausted. Started the day shopping in the city, and found the absolute BEST snowboard shop in Melbourne; better than RPS board shop!!

Capitol 17 ROCKS! They've got an awesome collection of T-shirts, shorts and other snowboard brand clothing from brands like Anon, Analog, DC shoe and Bonfire. Yes, BONFIRE... the brand I've been looking high and low for. And it gets better, I actually bought a bonfire jacket for an absolute steal. You still with me?

Bonfire Jacket, absolute steal, Lem's a very very happy boy :)

And on top of that, they had 10% off Anon goggles. Yes, Anon goggles, those goggles I've also been wanting to get for the longest time.

Anon goggles, 10% off, once again....Lem's a very very happy boy :)

I had to pull myself away from that shop, or else I would have bought all the cool t-shirts on display. I've decided I shall treat myself to a shopping spree at Capitol 17 after exams.

Oh, and....... I decided to use my DJ gift cards on the brand spanking newly released 8 gig Ipod Nano. Yes, the only one that comes in matt black. Its great cos its like the mini, FINGERPRINT proof, and its BLACK! (I've noticed that alot of my recent purchases have been black, ie. helmet, goggles, board pants, snowboard. I guess black is the new black?

*takes a breath*

Yeah, so after my shopping spree, I had lunch at Melbourne central and had what was possibly the worse Katsu curry in Australia. Stay away from Yoyogi, you have been warned!

After which, made my way down to Telstra dome for my first A-league match; Melbourne Victory v Queensland Roar. Melbourne dominated most of the game, winning easily with a score of 4-1. Pretty exciting game, far exceeded my expectations of the local league. As with all these events, we probably had one too many beers and partially lost my voice from all that shouting. Crowd turnout wasn't bad either, about 26,000 plus fans. Will definitely make it a point to attend more games.

*mental note to self: must buy the Melbourne Victory scarf*

After the game, the rest of the boys went to some pub to catch the NRL grand final. I on the otherhand, chose the sensible choice and went home to catch the game on the telly. The Broncos beat the Storm... UNBELIEVABLE. I mean the Storm were really consistent and played well all season. They went into the game as favourites, came out as losers. Though I should be supporting Melbourne, I have to confess I prefer the Broncos. Darren Lockyer Rocks!

Also, I got an invite to a Keg party on the 28th of October. My first exam is on the 31st of October. I have a very bad feeling about this. *shake head*

No mood to study tonight, so its off to bed. Its been a memorable weekend, lots achieved (school work excluded) and mum & dad got home from Korea in one piece. Good night people, and have a great week ahead.
